From mszanyi at zcomax.com Thu Oct 8 16:47:02 2009 From: mszanyi at zcomax.com (Mitch Szanyi) Date: Thu, 8 Oct 2009 12:47:02 -0400 Subject: New Project - Zcomax WLAN Driver Message-ID: I sent this in HTML, sorry for not being careful. ________________________________________ From: Mitch Szanyi [mailto:mszanyi at zcomax.com] Sent: Thursday, October 08, 2009 12:19 PM To: 'prjmgr at linuxdriverproject.org' Subject: New Project - Zcomax WLAN Driver I have to admit I am not quite sure what you can and cannot do for us but I have some projects and I wanted to see if any are mutually beneficial. Here are our current projects I was thinking of proposing 1. 900MHz mPCI WLAN card - Model # GZ-901 a. Based on Atheros AR5414 Chipset b. HW Version 0.9 can have the frequency modified by driver c. Link to application notes and more - http://www.zcomax.com/embedded/GZ-901/GZ901ApplicationNotes.zip d. Link to Specification - http://www.zcomax.com/embedded/GZ-901/dsgz901v1.1.pdf 2. 700MHz mPCI WLAN card - Model # GZ-701 a. Based on Atheros AR5414 Chipset b. Link to Specification - http://www.zcomax.com/embedded/GZ-701/dsgz701v1.pdf c. Follows GZ-901 design with different down converter. 3. 3.65GHz mPCI WLAN card - Model # GZ-3650 a. Based on Atheros AR5414 Chipset b. Link to Specification - In progress c. Uses 2.3GHz frequency in AR5414 chipset, many average users do not know how to access this frequency range with Atheros AR5414 I would be interested in supporting one of the above projects to understand the entire process. If possible let me know if you have any comments or concerns about undertaking such a project.
