I don't know what "recent mail" you are referring to here, sorry.  I get
a lot of patches to review, and can't remember any of them.

Add a 'version' to the subject when resending the patch, and describe
what you did differently.  The file, Documentation/SubmittingPatches in
the kernel source tree should explain this pretty well.
