Where is that documented? Who told you that? That is _not_ what the
drivers/staging/ tree is for at all.

Does this really deserve its own subdirectory in drivers/ ?
Why not use the newly introduced phy layer instead?

Please work with other kernel developers within Freescale as to how the
proper way to submit code to the kernel is done.
