It needs also to replace from V4L1 to V4L2 API. You'll certainly need one 
sample of the device to test the newer mmap modes that are very different 
from what we had on V4L1 API.

Probably, it shouldn't be hard to transform this driver into a gspca 
sub-driver, instead of trying to change it into V4L2.

If you find some device to test, then it could be interesting. I suspect 
that we don't have any in-kernel driver for this chipset.

If you're interested on working with webcams, maybe you could help porting 
the existing in-kernel V4L1 webcam drivers into V4L2 ones.
