Fair enough.  Increasing involvement in another project means that in reality it is unlikely that I shall be able to do any significant new work on the SourceForge driver anyway.

In order to avoid causing further problems for the series of patches queued by Tomas Winkler, I think it may be best if I withdraw my pending pair of patches at this time.  Adding ALSA functionality is not urgent and can be addressed at a later date.
